1. Clinical Scope of Practice
Complementary Modality: Hypnotherapy is an evidence-based, collaborative therapeutic and mental conditioning framework. It is designed to support stress regulation, habit disruption, and performance composure.
Not Medical or Psychiatric Care: Hypnotherapy is a complementary practice and does not replace medical diagnosis, psychiatric intervention, or clinical psychological treatment.
Medication & Healthcare Providers: You should never discontinue, alter, or delay prescribed medical treatments or medications without consulting your GP or medical consultant.
No Crisis Services: Granting Progress does not offer acute emergency psychiatric or crisis intervention services. If you are experiencing severe distress, please contact your GP, call NHS 111 (or 999 in an emergency), or reach out to the Samaritans on 116 123.
---
2. Client Partnership & Outcomes
Collaborative Process: Hypnotherapy is an active partnership requiring your genuine engagement, open participation, and consistent real-world practice between sessions.
No Guaranteed Results: Because psychological change relies on personal application and individual responsiveness, no specific therapeutic or behavioural outcome can be ethically or legally guaranteed.
---
3. Online Session Protocols
All sessions are delivered via secure video conference. To maintain clinical standards:
* You agree to attend sessions from a private, quiet space where you will not be overheard, interrupted, or distracted.
* You must not attend sessions while driving, operating machinery, or under the influence of recreational drugs or alcohol.
* You are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and functioning camera/audio equipment.
---
4. Attendance & Rescheduling
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Because portfolio case study slots are limited and fully subsidised, consistent attendance is essential. Repeated late cancellations or unnotified absences may result in the forfeiture of your place.
